14492 Bistar (provisional designation: 1994 VM6) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Kin Endate and Kazuro Watanabe at the Kitami Observatory in Hokkaidō, Japan, on November 4, 1994. It is named after the Bistar Astronomical Observatory in the city of Hitachiōmiya in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
